“A graduation project at KENC is the perfect opportunity to discover just how impressive the world of offshore engineering truly is.”
Harmen Punte first came into contact with KENC through the Business Days Twente and decided to complete his graduation project here. During his master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Twente, he worked on a design system for monopile lifting and handling tools — essential equipment used in the construction of offshore wind farms.
What attracted Harmen was the scale and complexity of the projects: massive steel structures, innovative engineering, and the contribution to sustainable energy. At KENC, he had the opportunity to apply his theoretical knowledge to real projects, guided by experienced engineers who walked him through every step of the design process.
An internship or graduation project at KENC means being part of real projects, learning from specialists, and experiencing what it’s like to contribute to the future of offshore wind.
“At KENC, I was given the freedom to develop my ideas — and the guidance to turn them into something great.”
